People directory

People is the workspace directory. It lists every current workspace member and gives each person an optional, workspace-specific profile.

Use it when you need to answer questions such as:

  • Who writes about this topic?
  • What does this teammate work on?
  • Which public writing skills has this person shared?

Search covers names, email addresses, headlines, and topics. Select a person to open their full profile.

Your workspace profile​

Open People, select your own card, and choose Edit profile. You can add:

  • Headline — a short description of your role or point of view.
  • About — the longer context teammates should know about you.
  • Topics — up to ten subjects you regularly write about.

The profile belongs to this workspace only. If you belong to several workspaces, you can describe yourself differently in each one.

Who can see and edit it​

Every current workspace member can read every People profile in that workspace. Only you can edit your own profile; Admins and Owners cannot edit another member's profile.

People access comes from workspace membership. Being trusted on a particular Channel does not expose a different workspace or grant broader directory access.

When a member leaves or is removed, their People profile and every skill they owned in that workspace are permanently deleted with the membership. Their old profile and skills are not kept for a later rejoin; content in their other workspaces is unaffected.

How AI uses your profile​

Your own headline, topics, and About text help WriteMars understand who is writing when it drafts for you. This complements personal voice, which describes how you write. Profile and voice text is passed to AI as bounded, untrusted writing context: it can guide identity and style, but it cannot override the request, platform limits, permissions, or WriteMars's core instructions.

WriteMars does not use another teammate's People profile to condition your drafts. A profile never grants access to posts, Channels, or actions that the author could not already use.

Public skills on a profile​

A person's detail page can show the Skills they made public. Use Load more public skills when a person has more than 200. Private skills never appear in People, including on your own public-skills section. Open the Skills library to manage your private skills.
