Workspaces

A workspace is an isolated space for one team, brand, or client. Posts, states, labels, campaigns, connected social accounts, People profiles, writing skills, and members are all scoped to it — nothing leaks between workspaces. Run an agency? One workspace per client.

Within a workspace, sharing is opt-in: posts and connected accounts start private to their creator, and teammates see them only once they're shared or put on the org calendar.

Create a workspace

Your first workspace is created during signup. For more, open the workspace switcher (workspace name, top-left of the sidebar) and choose Create workspace:

  • Name — display name, rename anytime.
  • Slug — auto-follows the name until you edit it; letters, numbers, and hyphens.

You become the workspace's Owner (roles) and land in the workspace.

The slug

The slug identifies the workspace everywhere outside its display name:

  • App URLshttps://writemars.com/<slug>/posts, /<slug>/calendar, …
  • API pathshttps://api.writemars.com/api/workspaces/<slug>/… (see API overview)
  • MCP — agents address workspaces by slug (Connect AI agents)

Admins and Owners can change it later in Settings → General; existing links and API calls using the old slug stop working, so change it deliberately.

Switch workspaces

Click the workspace name at the top-left of the sidebar. The dropdown shows your current workspace, your other workspaces (click one to jump to its Posts view — it's remembered as your last workspace), plus Create workspace and Workspace invites (pending invitations sent to your email).

Home

Home (/<slug>/home) is the workspace landing page. Treat it as the morning check-in for the team: it shows consistency, the next operational risks, and the fastest route back into work.

What's on it:

  • Streak — current weekly publishing streak, best streak, and the last 12 weeks of published-post counts. It uses the workspace timezone and calendar week start.
  • Up next — the next scheduled variants, plus recent failed variants. Each row links to the post; scheduled rows can be published now and failed rows can be retried.
  • Post status — Drafts, Scheduled, and Published counts as tiles, plus a Needs your review callout when approvals are waiting. Each links straight to the matching list.
  • Last 7 days — impressions, engagement rate, followers, and the top post when analytics are available. If no channels are connected yet, it points you to Channels.
  • New post — top right; opens the post composer.

Everything on Home counts only the posts and profiles you can see — private posts and personal accounts outside your audience are excluded, as they are everywhere else.

Example: if Home shows 2 approvals pending, 0 scheduled, and a failed X variant in Up next, clear approvals first, retry or fix the failed variant, then use Calendar to rebuild the queue.
